Who we are
Wikus and Tjaart are the father and son owners of Venter Mushrooms who grow and pack the mushroom products sold by Venter Mushrooms themselves from spore to fruit at their home in Pretoria, South Africa.
Hobby turned business
After stumbling upon a mushroom growing video in August 2021 and going down the YouTube rabbit hole, Tjaart realised that it could be an interesting hobby and potentially a good business opportunity and got his dad involved.
Many months of experimentation and countless hours of research eventually led to successful harvests, which finally started becoming the norm instead of strokes of luck.
Our goal
We strive to provide only the highest quality mushroom powder to our customers and this means using only pure mushroom powder in our capsules as well as working in clean and sterile environments when necessary to ensure our customers get what they pay for.
